Acts 29 students is the student ministry of First Baptist church of Winter garden Fl. Our goal is to provide an environment that encourages students to live a life that is pleasing to God.  We believe that God designed us to pursue him in relationship with others that are also pursuing him.  This is what the church is all about!

What about the name?  Acts 29 Students was created by our students after studying the books of acts for an entire summer.  The book tells the story of the birth of the church.  The majority of the book describes the conversion of Saul to Paul and then his journeys to spread christianity to countries around the known world.  The book of acts only has 28 chapters.  The reason we call our ministry Acts 29 because we are now living in the 29th chapter.  The church is still spreading, and God is still reaching people, the people in this chapter are just different but with the same purpose of spreading and living out the message of the Gospel.

Our youth pastor Ryan Rouse has served in full time ministry for 16 years.  All but 4 of those were in student Ministry.  In July of 2016 Ryan and his family moved back to the United States after serving in Haiti for 4 years where he helped run an orphanage, 2 schools, and 2 churches.  First Baptist Church of Winter Garden is Home for Ryan though having grown up in WInter Garden and was actually called into full time ministry as a high school student in the student ministry at fbcwg.  Ryan's Wife Stacie is very much a part of the leadership of the student ministry serving as a small group leader and discipler to teenage girls.  Islanda, Hayden, and Piper make up the rest of the Rouse Family.

Ryan has a passion to see students fall in love with God and surrender to his calling on their lives.  Ryan also loves community and prays to see a group of students that genuinely love and care for each other.
